Comments: This was a test image after I got my RHA back up and running. The data has been stretched so to bring out the fainter arms of M101; these arms are rarely seen in images of M101. Unfortunately this stretching also brings out the faint sky background noise. However, some of this noise is likely galactic cirrus. I did shoot this region before and demonstrated the faint arms of M101, but that image took over 17 hours to show the arms. This scope showed them in just over 7 hours. The seeing was poor (2-3 arcsec) so galactic core details are somewhat soft.
